My Experience Using Shotcut 21.03.21

It has been more than 2 years since I used Shotcut Video Editor for my video editing. In this Shotcut update, there are significant changes. I often use Shotcut for my video editing projects. Because usually I make short videos for Facebook and TikTok ads. Here I only need basic video editing such as cropping, color grading, transitions, and a little text animation. So far, I am quite satisfied when using Shotcut as my main video editor. I have previously used KDEnlive. Indeed, the UI is quite comfortable. But when I checked the render result, it was not as clear as it was a little blurry. The last time I used KDEnlive 17 if I'm not mistaken (Sorry to forget).

Let's discuss any updates in this Shotcut, a change that is quite surprising for me is when I want to be on the Timeline menu button. Now the menus are grouped according to the operation. Then the filter menu with more parameters. I really thank Shotcut's developers for this update. Then one of the Scale filters (I usually use this keyword) is not there. And replaced with Size, Position, and Rotate.

To see more and more filters, you can install it yourself and check the filters. Because I can't possibly describe one by one here. And I haven't used it yet, because I still haven't used any other filters for my video projects. Not to mention that my laptop specifications are still minimal.

Maybe this is enough for my experience when using the latest Shotcut (21.03.21). Thank you for reading my story on this blog.
